EDGE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

EDGE is governed by an eleven-member board of directors appointed by both City of Memphis and Shelby County Mayors and confirmed by the Memphis City Council and Shelby County Commission.  Of the eleven, nine are board members are voting members along with one non-voting member from both the Memphis City Council and the Shelby County Commission.  The EDGE Board of Directors also serves as the governing body for the Industrial Development Board of Memphis and Shelby County and the Depot Redevelopment Corporation of Memphis and Shelby County.

MEMPHIS AND SHELBY COUNTY PORT COMMISSION BOARD OF DIRECTORS

A seven-member board of directors governs the Port of Memphis; five are appointed by the EDGE board chairperson and two are ex officio representatives from the City of Memphis and Shelby County.

GREATER MEMPHIS ALLIANCE FOR A COMPETITIVE WORKFORCE (GMACWorkforce)

GMACWorkforce was created in late 2014 as a priority initiative of the Greater Memphis Chamber’s Chairman’s Circle and the Memphis and Shelby County Regional Economic Development Plan, prepared in collaboration with the Brookings Institution Policy Program.  GMACWorkforce was aligned with EDGE in April 2017.
