The Tennessee Business Relief Program was initiated by Governor Bill Lee and the Financial Stimulus Accountability Group. It was created to provide relief payments to businesses that had to temporarily close or suffered a substantial reduction in taxable sales due to COVID-19. Administered by the Tennessee Department of Revenue, the program is designed to distribute approximately $300 million in relief payments to more than 40,000 eligible businesses.
